Motorola enthüllt Domino alias FIRE XT: Mittelklasse-Android für schmales Geld, VÖ: Q3

Anfang der Woche geleakt und schon offiziell: Mit dem Motorola XT531 liefert Motorola ein günstiges Mittelklasse-Smartphone mit aktueller Software, vernünftigen Specs und vernünftigem Preis. In Europa kommt es unter dem Namen Fire XT auf den Markt.

Bereits Anfang der Woche waren erste Bilder eines neuen Motorola-Smartphones namens Domino durchgesickert. Nun hat Motorola das Mittelklasse-Handy unter dem Namen Fire XT offiziell angekündigt. Allerdings scheint es, als gingen Motorolas Marketing-Abteilung die Ideen aus – wie sonst könnte man sich einen Claim wie diesen erklären: “With a bright 3.5-inch touch screen display and dual cameras, Motorola XT531 is simply better.” Kreativer geht’s nicht.

Die Fakten aber sind durchaus akzeptabel: Das 3,5 Zoll-Display löst mit 480×320 Pixel auf, die CPU taktet mit 800 MHz, 512 MB Arbeitsspeicher und 512 MB interner Speicher stehen außerdem zur Verfügung. Als Betriebssystem ist das Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) installiert, zwei Kameras (hinten 5 MP, vorne VGA) sind auch dabei, die hintere ist mit Autofokus und LED-Blitz ausgestattet.

In Deutschland wird das Motorola XT351 unter dem Namen FIRE XT auf den Markt kommen, als Release-Zeitraum ist Q3 anberaumt. Preislich dürfte sich das Fire XT in einem Bereich zwischen 200 und 300 € bewegen.
